Transfusions for Patients With Warm Auto Antibodies

UCLA continues to provide chankel match units for all patients who have warm auto antibodies based on the fact that it does simplify our transfusion workup. I would love to be able to identify which patients with warm autos go on to be to require transfusion so we could focus this practice on those patients that will benefit most from it as opposed to those who just have a warm auto antibody that kind of waxes and wanes but doesn't provide any clinical implications.
