Quincy Jones: I had a lot of say in these first four records. The basic thing that gave me that job early on working with him was that one of his stylistic things was to take a classical theme and then convert it into having jazz performers reinterpret it. And when he saw that I was able to work with classical music and rearrange it and all that, that's led me down that path with him.
