Is the Dome of the Rock a Crusader's Dome?
Two inscriptions attest to the dome's restoration after an earthquake in ten 15. It's hard to imagine that te the dome could collapse and not damage the arcades which support the dome. The number of columns has changed over the centuries, which is an indication,. indication that was rebuilt of the arcades over the centuries. But they then replaced them with 12 supporting columns and 16 outer columns. So you can't just change the key ones without damaging the rest of the structure.
