The Outrage Over Lawrence Anderson's Killing

Lawrence Anderson cut out his neighbor's heart and fed it to his family. He should have been serving a 20-year sentence for attacking his girlfriend, possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute. Governor Kevin Stidt commuted the sentence to nine years at the recommendation of the state pardon and parole board. Lawrence was released after serving just three years of which should have been a two-decade long sentence. Grady County District Attorney Jason Hicks said that more people are going to get killed as a result of these decisions.
