This story touches on an important truth that many traditions will agree upon. We all seem to be wired to worship something and I don't think it's hyperbole to suggest that all of us have at times placed things on a pedestal as the saying goes. Ironically about two years after this Cheryl did get pregnant she had a beautiful baby girl. Whether or not one believes in the events they transpired perhaps a broader lesson we can all take from this is that anything even a good thing placed in an unhealthy context can lead to catastrophe.
