In John 1415 and 16, the word advocate is translated as comfort. In some translations, you'll see it rendered as just another Greek word, paraklet. And in fact, in that passage, he actually says, I will not leave you comfortless in verse 18. The word comfortless in that verse is orphanus. So just as our Heavenly Parents are our spiritual parents and give us spiritual life,. Our earthly parents are, gave us physical life., Jesus Christ comes to us as our covenant father and gives us eternal life.
Dr. Eric Huntsman continues to examine John 1 and shares his testimony of Jesus Christ.
