The History of Phoenicia
When we left Phoenicia, the year was around 950 BC. Cities placed on promontories overlooking the sea or on islands benefited from their small but productive agricultural hinterlands. The Cyprus was particularly important, it was a center of metalworking innovation and probably the place where iron metallurgy had been invented.
