The Fading Age of Tolkien

The war of the ring is a transition from the age of magic to the age of men. That's why all the magic begins to fade with the destruction of the ring. Aragorn is like the first human king of the new age, which is so cool. And obviously, we're so deep in nerd territory right now that it's absurd.
