The Benefits of Exercise for Mental Health
In 2008, the physical activity guidelines came out in the US for the first time. Exercise and antidepressants have the same efficacy in terms of how much they improve depression. So exercise is actually more effective than antidepressants. And I think that because I was eating mostly whole foods and I was exercising every day, I think that's what kept me from being formally depressed or still able to function my daily life.
