Are There Other Civilizations That Will Rise?
We're moving through this very awkward transitional time as certain visions of destiny, certain visions of human purpose and possibility are collapsing. I think it will interest me during the rest of his life, in fact, to watch what happens to the old dream of space travel. It's a failed dream. You can't have space-faring civilization anywhere in the solar system, this side of about Saturn. The radiation level is too high. That's why we don't have space ships going to Mars. And so that's sort of in the process of stirring right now. Are there other civilizations that will rise every yes?
