Investing in Cryptocurrencies - Is Volatility a Risk?

I think it shows how risky this asset is. I mean, yet great it went up over time, but what if you need money when it's down? So you have to bear those losses. And i think that volatility also tells you about what fraction of your overall portfolio should be in something like that. Those kind ups and downs are hard to bear, and they're almost impossible to bear if it's all your wealth. That really, i think, has implications for the portfolio share.
