There are a few points of overlap between me and any character that I write. She was recently diagnosed with ADHD, which is just one of these big, oh, no duh kind of moments. The idea of starting a novel is kind of bananas because you have to have this incredible optimism along with your creative energy. It's simultaneously being an adult and also babysitting a toddler who is also me.
