It's definitely like the beginning of evolutionary thinking, at least like social evolutionism. And from there, you can imagine it's just a short leap to Malthus and economic theory and then Darwin's application of that to populations of animals. There's a lot also that anticipates marks that anticipates Kant that anticipates like Rousseau, not even anticipating produces.
