The name Iliberl comes from a piece by John Smirak. Potter: I didn't like that name because it's lacking in the virtue of liberality. So I just took Iliberlism then and went with it. The view is distinctive about this view, because you even find pagans like Aristotle and Plato who have a pretty good notion of the common good,. at least on the natural level.
