The Cost of Perfume

Luke records, tells us this completely bizarre story about two of Jesus' students. And they're walking to a village called Amaeus several miles from the city of Jerusalem. They're basically walking away from the action because Jerusalem is where the movement reaches its crescendo. People are all there and then Jesus is crucified. And so they're essentially leaving. Now hold that sort of sketch and let's move to another story.
