What Is the Difference Between a Hurricane and a Typhoon?

Tropical storms can be anywhere from 38 miles an hour to 74 miles an hour, and below that we call it a tropical depression. When a storm is strong enough to become a hurricane, it gets a name, and the names go in alphabetical order. Back in 19 85, my state was hit with hurricane gloria,. And there will never be another hurricane gloria. That name has been retired, no longer able to be used. I hope this minni lesson gave you better understanding of hurricanes. Jamie and i need to do one on tornadoes, because we've experienced one. We've actually had a house destroyed by a tornado.
