Drug companies still like to use very narrow populations for their drug trials, better to prove efficacy. But ultimately, the exclusion of women was deemed inappropriate. In two thousand 14, the n i h spent ten million dollars to include more women in studies. And in two thousand 16, they decreed that all studies had to include sex as part of the equation.
