What Is the Point of All This Ritual in Leviticus?

In leviticus, sacrifices are described in terms of their intention to please god. The term atone can also sometimes be translated to expiate or propitiate. All the materials that have burnt on the altar regardless of the type of they all become ishe. It's literally shrinks the fire in front of my eyes. And the basinly goes into another realm, and the realm of existence where god is and where the spirits are.
