I agree that life has become treacherously dull for people, especially being lied to about the military industrial complex and then realizing you're part of the empire. I think they don't really have much purpose because we've hyper fixated on individualism in this narcissistic society. So these kids are just focusing on only themselves and they have a meaningless life because they have no other purpose except themselves.
