Do You Think There's More Efficient Ways to Signal the College Degree?

Do you think a lot of the education value is signaling or do you think it is people are actually like if they, you know, study literature at Wesleyan getting actual skills? I think a tremendous amount of it is signaling. It's an easy signal and apparently the cost of paying college educated workers doesn't outweigh what it would cost to seek more efficient signals in the hiring process. If anything will drive innovation on that front, I think it may be this moment.
