The US Consumer Sentiment Survey and FedSpeak
Inflation is a lagging indicator of economic activity and recent FedSpeak suggests that the FOMC could become more forward looking. The question on my mind is, could this be the very first CPI print in the US for quite some time and doesn't actually trigger a month's worth of price action and market narratives? Or will it be strong enough to keep the banking concerns at bay and push Federal Reserve speakers to still be hawkish)? That's the question for next week, but there's other data to watch as well. There's retail sales, we expect retail sales core control group to rise by around half a percent in the month of March after increasing the same amount in February.
