The Battle of Austerlitz

Before the third coalition formed, napoleon had been planning to finally invade the british isles. But when it became apparent in late 18 o four that russia and austria were about to get pretty belligerent, he marched them east. The french captured 60 thousand austrians and lost only two thousand men of their own. It was a bloody victory, but 36 thousand allies wound up killed, captured or wounded. Immediate result of asterlitz was nothing less than the final disintegration of the holy roman empire. Totally beaten.
