The Importance of Taking Risk in the Long Term
Premium bonds are clever because it's a great name from my marketing point of view. And it's also tapping into people's sense of gambling, you know, way. People don't appreciate that for different periods of time, risk changes. You know, over a one year period, equity is very risky. Over a 40 year period or 30 year period will suddenly bonds are a disastrous risk. That's the simple truth. Whereas with equity, it's very likely you will get very good returns over that kind of period.
