The Problem With the Autocratic System
The real problem for the regime comes when intellectual resistance, which always exists somehow meets with a bigger mass of workers or whoever saw the people. This was also the pattern in 1956 in Hungary. And actually, they forged the Polish regime to start to negotiate with them at some point. So Poland become kind of leading country and much of the Hungarian transition in the late 80s followed the Polish opposition stories.
