Is There a Limit on How Far Out Can Teams Trade Their Draft Picks?
Is there a limit on how far out a team can trade its draft picks? For example, could someone give up a first round pick in 2035 for a player today? Or can you only trade picks that are in a window of years into the future? You know, this is a very like OHL kind of question. I remember talking to one manager at OHL Trade Deadline and there was like second rounders going like 10 years deep or something like that.
