The Importance of Being an Artist Citizen
Before he started DIY MFA, I was a designer toy designer and a product designer. For me writing is just as much about the negative space around the story and the story itself. It's like you cannot be a good writer without being a good reader. If you want to have fans, you have got to be a fan first. And so for me that meant bringing a visual element back into my work.
