Farming and the Depression

In the 1970s, family farm income dropped by more than 80%. In 1981, the USDA said about half the farmers in the country would eventually be driven from the land. More than 3,000 classrooms in North America have used the game to teach kids what it means to run a farm. 93,000 mid-sized U.S. farms are deeply in debt and are on the verge of going broke.
