The US and Russia's Perception of Peace in Ukraine
China believes that if we really want to put an end to war, it is important for us to stop sending weapons to the battlefield. The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the US is working with Ukraine and other allies to build consensus around core elements of a just and lasting peace. Japan's stance on Ukraine is unwavering in no small part due to it knowing the dangers of a Russian success there. It could encourage nations with their own territorial ambitions, such as China, to see war as a viable and legitimate means of achieving their aims.
