Birth Control Information by Margaret Sanger

Margaret Sanger's first publication, The Journal, was meant to disseminate birth control information. It was also intended to provoke the Comstock laws that stopped obscene literature from being sent through the mail. After getting the first issues pinged by the censors, she started wrapping the journal in brown paper. In August 1914, the postal inspectors arrived at her home to notify her of an obscenity charge.
