The Great Recession and Financial Panic

U.S. debt is considered so safe and everything else is benchmarked against it. If we are revealed to be risky when people thought we weren't, that sets off kind of like a chain reaction in all of these other markets. We don't know exactly what that would look like, but it could be quite bad. That's why Marjorie Taylor Greene should be the Republican spokesman when we do go over the debt limit.
