The Bronze Age and the Lost Wax Technique

The first evidence of bronze creation is to be found long before the bronze age. In 19 61 an archaeologist stumbled across a horde of calcalithic artifacts at a site called naha mishma. There were over 400 objects in this hord, mostly made from copper. The objects were dated to three thousand 500 b c e. And were made using the lost wax technique. This involves the creation of a wax model of the object that you want ultimately to be made from metal. It is likely that a clay material was packed around the wax object. But it would have been heated up, causing the molten wax to drain out of the clay. And this would have left a baked clay
