CNN's John Sutter has been reporting on a new effort to expand manufacturing of vaccines in the global South. The WHO-backed initiative is called mRNA technology transfer hub, and it includes 15 companies from around the world. Sutter says he went to South Africa because that's where the core of this hub is based. He also visited Malawi as part of his efforts to understand not just what efforts are being made, but the kind of human extent of the problem there.
