If we're naturally by default, a diaphragmatic breather, those 20,000 breaths that we take when we're not thinking about breathing are down into our diaphragm. Most people can nose breathe when they think about it, but as soon as they get distracted by a shiny thing, they revert back to what their little metronomers in their brain have set them up to be.
