The Freedom Caucus apparently bucked Speaker McCarthy and his effort to get the debt ceiling deal passed. I guess Matt Gaetz and some of the other members think that McCarthy gave too much to the Dems, says CNN's John Defterios. It doesn't seem like they have the votes to get rid of him because they would have moved to do it., he adds.
