How Much Effect Do We See in the Market When People Divest?
The effect on the stock price is so small, it can't possibly have any real effects on investment strategy. To get a large enough effect to really effect the investment strategy of companies, you would need 85 % of investors to divest. And we are so far away from that high number that we don't think a divestor strategy is at all effective in achieving social change.
