The Opposition to the Just Energy Transition
Andre DeRator stepped down from his role at Escom on February 22nd this year. He's refused to identify the government official, his linked to corruption. Andre DeRator is now overseas in a safe place and he will eventually be in South Africa. But right now he is just not safe in South Africa unfortunately. For the world, it's one thing to make lofty promises about cutting emissions and switching to clean energy. The reality is that it's hard to break the dominance of fossil fuels - especially when both politicians and criminal gangs are determined to keep things as they are.
