In the 1980s and 1990s, people really kind of fetishized like what bit computer is this? You'd hear that's an 8-bit computer or that's a 16-bit computer. Now we're talking about physical components ultimately when we want to get down into the nitty gritty. How many bits can we get in throughput in a certain amount of time rather than thinking about in larger units like bytes, which are just clusters of bits?
