The Evolution of General Intelligence

We know that evolution was able to find at least one architecture that created general intelligence. And presumably, even though it took several million years, it wouldn't have done very many extremely different experiments. It would have been a small, small variation experiments from something which seemed to start working and seemed to work a little bit at the start. So I mean, yeah, that's the reason to maybe be optimistic slash pessimistic. But we could find something that takes us to general intelligence without a complete revolution in the thinking around AGI.
