The Callbacks in Tijuana, Trisha
I was delighted every time instead of cringing. You know, it was just so nice to have him go to the restaurant where Rocky is working and see that it's Adrian's restaurant. And callbacks like the first fight in Tijuana, like the first black convention,. It has the same underground grimy feels but in a new context. So I found that every time the movie was doing those call back or that, you know, tipping its hat to the original Rocky, it felt effortless and natural and nice. If he were to do the exact same run up the stairs, it would just be so rock cool to me. Right.
