The Effect of Local Government Spending on Adult Social Care
In the least deprived 20 % of areas, local authority spending went down by around 16%. The more deprived, the greater the reduction in local authority spending. It's hard to argue that these significant and regressive cuts in public spending were irrelevant. You'd have to believe that everything local government did and the helth service did doesn't matter. And we're seeing those consequences during the penedemic.
