The Effect of Advertising on Downloads
Ethan: The less that we market iOS games, the fewer of them are downloaded. I would not have thought that advertising creates appetite for new games. Ethan: Once you have a user that's seen an ad for 30 minutes, or sorry, 30 seconds, or played an ad for30 seconds, you have a real user with intent. And that user ultimately has a higher propensity to install it than somebody who just saw it passively.
