Divergent thinking is more about brain storming on new or different ideas that could solve these particular problem statements. emergent with which is more about how can you devise new ideas based upon all the existing ideas that you already white boaded. convergent is basically talking about, of all the different solutions, what are the best solutions that handle, or that address, the customer problem that you have? And brain storning is basically helping you to promote openness.
