The Future of Oil Field Service Costs
We believe those prices are plenty high enough to generate more drilling interest in all US basins. We further estimate that it takes six to nine months typically for well that was spud to enter service, but increasingly that number is close to the six months thanks to efficiency gains. So if we use six months as the boby here, then simple math dictates that US producers will need to step up drilling activity no later than the first half of 2024. If current production remains constant, which we don't think will happen.
