William's Invasion Campaign Was So Expensive

William's vassals were norman nobles, and most of william's reign been marked by revolts, intrigue, assassinations and instability. The cost of this campaign was more than enough to ruin the bastard. And considering how much of a burden they'd taken on for this campaign, if it all collapsed without any pay off, how long do you think it would be before the baron started moving against william? i honestly don't think william had many other options. He was all in on this, and by this point in ten 66, he had to either succeed or he was going to die trying.
