Now we hear my conversation with Denise Ho on her article titled Oyster Men and Refugee Hong Kong and China Between the Tides, 1949 to 1997. Denis is Associate Professor of Modern Chinese History at Yale University. Her article will contribute to her book titled Cross Border Relations, A Grassroots History of Hong Kong. In which she traces the history of the Hong Kong-China border through stories of the people who live at the border.
