i would say the thinking is the same as fuel and medicine. Oil is not a better fuel than alcohol or hemp. And if you really want to get crazy, the stanley myre engine showed that even water can power a car. But oil is the most difficult for you or i to produce. So we get prohibition. Alcohol is removed from society. Hemp is also removed. They're whittling down food options to th things we can't produce ourselves. The people making these foods are heavily involved in the influencing of the policies that justify them getting full control of the food market. We could say this feels like a very similar fight.
