The Russian Invasion Is Not an Inevitable One
Vladimir Putin did have choice in all of this it's easy to envision that a different Russian leader might well have dealt with the situation in a different way. That does not mean that the United States is to blame for what happened here. The media line that this was an entirely unprovoked invasion originated solely from the pathologies inside Vladimir Putin himself, and had nothing to do with concerns about the European security order. And we also have profound implications for how the United States might find a solution to this war.
