In India, one always feels that the center of concern in the religious spirit is this transcendent void. This tremendous image of the whole universe has heard us say a progress of souls rising,. I think of that pop bottle, when you take the pop off, the bubbles start up. Where do they come from? The void. One participates with that and comes into harmony. In the far east, where did China and in Japan, well guess the feeling, rather of harmonious participation in the manifestation of the void in the world? That is to say, one rose with the world.
