The Return of Narrative Institutionalization
In 2022 pre FTX destruction, I used to talk about something called post narrative institutionalization. Blackrock coming back in and dropping this ETF proposal kind of has to be seen as a return to that post narrative institutionalized mode. One might even go farther and say that we are back in narrative institutionalization mode because Blackrock ultimately can't do anything without its shaping narratives.
