The Importance of Gender Equality in Climate Action
Varania Chow is a specialist on gender inclusion and climate change. She works at the United Nations Development Programme, which works on eradicating poverty. The need to put gender equality at the centre of climate action has long been recognised by the UN. It's a guiding principle in the Paris Agreement on Climate Change that countries signed back in 2015.
